Paid Website Manger or Paid Student Volunteers?

A full-time employee could spend 30-40 hours a week working with students to create 

OR
Student volunteers could show other students how to make websites.
A cash-strapped school could set a goal for students:  

The Carrot
"Get more hits for your Instagram account... post a link to Instagram from your Digital Portfolio."

That single suggestion might inspire half of your students to set up Portfolios.



The Stick
1.  Your site needs to have appropriate content
2.  Your social media needs to have appropriate content

If anything inappropriate appears, then the school can turn off the link to your website (portfolio).


That "stick" will balance the "carrot" of "you'll get more hits."
